1. All Salmon is Wild

Some people claim that wild salmon is the only type of salmon available in stores or restaurants. However, a large portion of salmon available for purchase is farmed. Farmed salmon are raised in controlled environments and can benefit the environment.

2. Farmed Salmon is Bad for You

Second, there is a popular rule that farmed salmon is unwholesome. In reality, farmed salmon is not inherently harmful. While their diets are significantly less varied from those of wild salmon, farmed salmon is equally nutritious. It is generally richer in omega-3 fatty acids, even if it contains more fat.

10. Salmon is High in Mercury
